Serenity in the waterfall:)
The last one for at least the summer anyway :). We've been super busy for the past couple of days because we got to go to the Teach Them Diligently Home school Convention in Sandusky, Ohio.

Today before we went to eat!
Awkward:

  • When the fans you buy for their noise make no noise. Oh well then :)
  • Not exactly awkward, but when you have a baby in a sling, a three-year-old in a stroller, and two very bouncy girls to watch as you walk around a large convention hall/hotel. Maybe more like tiring :)
  • When you and your sisters all match without meaning to. But hey, the shirts were free!

Awesome:

  • The bag of chocolate milk we got a few weeks ago. Yes, I did say bag of milk.
  • Chasing an ice cream truck down the street in church cloths. That was fun :)
  • Standing on the gate (and not falling off) by the Overlook (I think that's what its called) and singing
  • The Home School convention we're at!! I got to volunteer with the Patch the Pirate K4 group. We had lots of fun singing and stomping up and down the hall like elephants and hopping like rabbits and coloring, and lots of other stuff. I also learned how to act out Goldilocks and Billy Goats Gruff on the spot:)
  • Five Guys in a Burger.
Picture
  • When Amarisa is so happy:) She talks and blows bubbles and is just really cute.
  • When a restaurant actually has a table that seats 11 people.
  • My sisters and I are going to Wisconsin at Camp Joy IN TWO DAYS!!!
  • Getting to meet Patch the Pirate and Sissy Seagull.(They know my uncle so that's cool:))
  • The K4 group when we sing the Patch songs. You have to be really into the motions or else they just sit there.
  • Charity who always says "Shiver my timbers" instead of "Shiver me timbers"
  • All the free stuff you can get at conventions. I didn't really have time to walk around, but I got a t-shirt, two slap mustache bracelets (both of which I promptly lost), and CANDY.

Singing in the kids Patch the Pirate program. The K4 group is waaaayyy over on the left. You can sorta see some of the kids if you know who you're looking for:)
Happy Saturday!

Awkward and Awesome!!

I do realize that it isn't Saturday, but I promised someone (hi, Rebekah!!!!!!) I would do one last week, but I ran out of time. Soo, here I am on this lovely stormy Monday! I love storms.
Awkward:
  • When you forget about the clothes on the line until it's storming....And even then my sister had to remind me.
  • How very fast it got dark because of the storm (!!!)
  • When you're outside so much, your dad asks if you were banned from the inside.
  • When you finally find out that the hikes we take at Teen Camp at Wildwood are not the 5 mile ones I've thought for three years, but 8 miles hikes, give or take a few:)
  • When you clean out your closet and find things you never knew you had. Autumn said it looked like Goodwill in our room with all the hangers =D
  • My favorite days of the week in order (just because I can't think of anything else awkward): Sunday, Thursday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Monday, Saturday.

Awesome:
  • Psalms 107. Very awesome chapter and you may not understand it, but it's very....awesome (for lack of a better word. How about "totally tubular!") (My mom's new word)
  • The wall cloud that's forming around our house!!
  • The helicopters that are now covering the yard 3 inches deep. (Only a slight hyperbole ((word credit: my sister))
  • GRADUATION IS ON FRIDAY. Not super awesome 'cause my sis is LEAVING in the fall, but still.
  • ITS STORMING!!!!!!!! Did I mention I love storms. Like, really, really love storms. It's on my bucket list to see a tornado in real life.
  • Three weeks exactly 'til CAMP!!!!!!
  • MY BROTHER IS COMING HOME TOMORROW!!!!
  •  The Ladies Retreat at Wildwood.
  • Apples to Apples. You have to take the green cards and apply them to yourself. Like I am, according to this game, Magical, Dead, Dramatic, Amazing, and a couple more things that I can't remember. I didn't even remember those; I had to ask=)
  • Our friend from far, far away is coming tomorrow!!!
Have an amazing Monday!!!!!!

A&A | May!!!

Can anyone believe it's already May??????????  2015 is going by really fast!! It seems like everything I'm doing now I was doing a year ago. (Probably because I am; school, choir, dissecting random animals, and did I say school?=D)
You know that saying "April showers brings May flowers"? I honestly thought it was going to rain all summer, but there are TONS of flowers blooming now!! (My sis took the last picture:))
Picture
Zachariah's lilac bush is blooming (sorta:))
Awkward:
  • Having a contest with your brother to see who can finish their math curriculum  first. The loser has to buy the winner chocolate or Hot Fries (their choice). I only had 4 Geometry lessons left, while Timothy had 13. But he did 5 to my 1. Yeaaaaa. (It's hard to think about Geometry when you've been doing college Algebra for 5 months so that's my excuse, though it isn't a very good one;))
  • Dropping a laundry basket on your foot.....
  • Typing the entire first stanza of a poem into the search engine. I couldn't find the poem just using the title.
  • Finding the beginning of a story I started when I was 9 or 10. It was so dramatic and there was only one paragraph. "It was dark. So dark she could taste it...." I won't bore you with any more. =D
  • Trying to take a picture of a bee. They don't stand still very well ;)
  • Trying to help your sister with algebra at midnight. Its around the time when you can't add or subtract in your head anymore.
Picture
Awesome:
  • Wildwood's Ladies' Retreat next Saturday! It's kind of sad because I won't be able to go for summer camp this year :(
  • The Home school Graduation and Fine Arts is in two weeks!!!!!
  • Finishing a week's worth of Chemistry in a day. I've never actually finished any of my high school science classes (Physical Science, Biology, and now Chemistry) so this year I am going to. Three months worth in three weeks. (Which isn't very realistic, but that's okay:))
  • I went through my bazillion notebooks and finally got rid of some! I subconsciously collect notebooks and half of them are mostly empty. I say subconsciously because I usually don't know that I even have the ones that I have. But now I do:)
  • It was actually warm enough to not wear a jacket today! Spring is coming! Or maybe Summer!!!!
  • I leave for Camp Joy in exactly 31 days!!!!  After we go gallivanting around the universe from the 28th - 31st of May(which will be amazingly fun!)
  • Our SS Creation Museum field trip! My favorite was definitely the Planetarium!
