Awkward/Awesome

I saw someone do this in a blog I have been reading, so I am going to try it out!

Awkward:

  • Rinsing out the sink and you stand there for ten seconds holding the sprayer thing wondering why in the world water is not coming out before you realize that the water isn't actually on...what can I say, I'm homeschooled.
  • The only reason you like Lowes is because of the smell. My sister and I have this weird tradition of holding our breath from the car to the inside of the store so we can appreciate the smell more
  • Doing geometry with a pen and while you're doing a proof realizing that you did the entire thing in the wrong sequence.
  • When your pen stops working during a subject and as you're scribbling around all over the page it starts to work again and you realize you just scribbled over half of your notes...
  • When your literature tests are open book and you can't find any of the answers.
  • Planning what you're going to wear to winter camp three months before you actually go.
  • Being really distracted while doing laundry and folding half the things in the dirty basket before noticing it.
  • When you're the only one that you know who has an iPod with iOS 6 still....
  • Sledding in November when its 20 degrees wearing short sleeves (coats are over-rated)
  • The weather in Ohio is weird. One night it is 63 degrees and you're going barefoot everywhere and the next it is freezing and everyone is wearing winter coats and boots.
  • Your 3-year-old sister saying random quotes from Frozen at random times like, "I'm so tired....I've been up for hours..." *Dramatic sigh*
  • Seeing people shovel snow with garden shovels.
  • Last year at winter camp the only way anyone knew me was if I introduced myself as "Josh's sister".
  • Being with my 18-year-old sister and everyone thinking that I'm older than her...because I really am only 15 ;)
  • Being an alto but having to sing soprano in the church choir because there are not enough sopranos.
  • Being in a 12-passenger van on the freeway and looking down at everyone in their little cars.
  • Breaking your glasses for the third time in one year. The first time I got hit in the face with a basketball, the second when my sister stepped on them, the third during Thanksgiving in an intense game of wally ball. The ball sort of ricocheted off my face. But hey, we won!! I'm pretty sure the eye doctor is wondering about me though.

Awesome:

  • Christmas parties when the entire church comes to our house for a White Elephant gift exchange!!
  • Counting Christmas decorations on different houses on the way to church.
  • My 7 year old sister slowly reading Anne of Green Gables by herself. (She's on page 27 after reading it all day. She wants the whole series for Christmas now:)
  • Having bunk beds!!!!!!!
  • Typing with my left arm way up because Amarisa (3mobths is sitting next to me on the couch as she talks away:) But she's also sick and that's not awesome:(
  • Having a musical family. Right now, Melody and Autumn are practicing a duet and there is supposedly childrens Christmas music playing at the same time, but it sounds a lot like "I'm In the Lord's Army".
  • Good Girl Moonshine.. My mom and us three girls are doing Trim Healthy Mama and this is my favorite drink. (*disclaimer: its not actually moonshine.)
  • Wittle tiny babies. Like Amarisa; she's 12 weeks and 10.9 lbs
  • COFFEE!!!!!! Which I can only have about once a week at church because my parents don't drink coffee. BUT ITS AMAZING ANYWAY.
  • My Mom's MacBook Air. Typing on it is really therapeutic for some reason.
  • Getting lost in Sam's Club. So the first thing you do is head for the free samples. (It wasn't really my fault that I got lost and, of course, we (Autumn and I) weren't really lost, we were in the store, right?? We did finally find our family after wandering around the store for ten minutes. They were waiting near the exit. Oops.
  • Our really busy next couple of Wednesdays. THIS COMING WEDNESDAY IS OUR ANNUAL CHURCH CAROLING AND THE NEXT WEDNESDAY IS OUR CHRISTMAS PROGRAM AND THE NEXT WEDNESDAY IS CHRISTMAS EVE AND OUR CHRISTMAS EVE PROGRAM THING THAT ISN'T REALLY A PROGRAM BUT IT IS COOL ANYWAY!!

Ok, so excuse the capitals. I love Christmas.

And Thanksgiving.

And the Fourth of July.

And the month of July in general.

Aaaaand that doesn't make any sense.

Today is Saturday so I will try to do an Awkward/Awkward post every Saturday.

Try is the key word right there;) Happy Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. If you haven't already, or even if you have, check out
Not I But Christ!!

We changed the name so sorry if you couldn't find it:) We only have 12 followers and we're trying to get, well....more. And my sister just said 20, because its a good goal number apparently.
