Walking Worthy I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:1-3 KJV I want to “walk worthy” in whatever God puts in my path. Over the years, this verse has continued to encourage and at the same time motivated me to continue to Walk Worthy despite what life brings along my path. If I was to open up this blog to everyone reading to write their stories...we would all be in tears. Why? Because everyone has a story and everyone goes through tough times... death, accidents, cancer, storm damage, fire... as well as just the day to day inconveniences of loss of electricity and common illness that irritatingly mess with our plans. Life is hard... BUT GOD. That is my life line...my hope... my strength! So back to Walking worthy? I am supposed to walk worthy to the calling HE has called me! How? With ALL humility, gentleness, patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. So that is my prayer. I want to walk worthy even when my basement floods! :) Our basement is my life saver. We live in a small 3 bedroom 1 bath ranch. 10 years ago with the assistance of my 83 year old Grandma and her husband Leon, we finished our basement, giving us two more bedrooms and a huge family room and a 2nd bathroom. Last week our basement flooded! Boo!! It has rained for 16 days straight and then we had a heavy storm that gave us a lot of rain in a short amount of time. When I woke up that next morning...the floor was wet in the girls room, main family room, toy closet, the hallway, and part of Joshua's room. ![]() We worked really hard to get the water out of the carpet, but in the end we had to rip it all up and throw it out. ![]() The kids scraped all the glue from the padding out of the girls room as best as they could. We had to completely empty out every bedroom and the main family area. We have had things piled high in the funniest places...Joshua's furniture ended up in the bathroom...Only skinny people can sit on this toilet! This is my hallway upstairs... :) Have you ever tried to sleep with 3 giggly teenage girls sleeping on your living room floor? :) They are a TON of fun! After much prayer and advise from several people, we decided to replace the carpet with ceramic tile. God providentially provided the tile at a phenomenal price...
Because we know NOTHING about putting in ceramic tile, Michael, Pastor Chris and Josh (a man from our church) helped my husband out by bringing all their tools over and putting in over 48 hours in 3 days to help ay 800 square feet of ceramic tile. Praise the Lord for true servants of God who give of their time to help! Today Pastor Chris and Michael finished at 5:00pm. Tomorrow starts the grout, Friday they seal, and Saturday we replace all the trim! Lord willing we can move the girls back to their room soon! I'll show you pictures when it is completely finished!! Lord Bless, Cassandra

"But God" was always my sister's favorite phrase. It implies that it doesn't matter, the situation, God is always there, always bigger, always in control. I am thankful for your testimony as well as encouragement.
