I love science. Except for Physics. But aside from that, I love everything about science. This year I'm doing Biology and cannot not wait to start the dissecting!!!! Melody is doing that class with me, and said that I could do all the gross stuff. Well, gross in her opinion. I, personally, think it's awesome! :-) So, moving on. I also love astronomy. Two years ago, I got these amazing binoculars for Christmas. They are about a foot long and weigh four pounds! Last nights moon was a blue moon. A blue moon is the second full moon of the month, but this moon was the fourth full moon in the season. In this case, the season is between the June solstice and September equinox. And, in case you're wondering, the moon wasn't blue. It was actually a rusty red color due to atmospheric conditions. :-) And here are more pictures!! I don't have the best camera in the world. Actually, let me rephrase that. I do not have a currently working camera. So, I had to make do with my moms phone. Here are the ones that sort of turned out:-) Well, I guess that's all that turned out. Oops:-) CarissaFaith:)

On our way home from vacation, we dropped Josh off at our friends the Holloway's to help out with their Cola Clash. Since he he didn't get to help out with our War, it was nice he was able to do that:-) So, on Thursday, Mom, Autumn, Melody, Timothy, Serenity, and I, went to the Holloway's house. Our main reason in going was to help Mrs. Holloway organize her school things. Of course, the bonus was going to the Cola Clash! Because, the Holloways always provide us with bread when we see them, we like to return the favor by giving them meat and other stuff like that. We had a lot of fun picking out things to give to them! :-) When we first got there, we three girls helped Mrs. Holloway organize her sewing/craft stuff. So, now she has her own special spot to do all that. While we did this, Mom began selling the extra school books. Autumn and I then started on the elementary boys' room. We wanted to give Peter a nicer desk than the one he already had, then give the junker and smaller desk to one of the little boys. We cleared the bookcase and put the books in the closet, then moved the desk to the highschool room. We also moved Thomas into the highschool room. Then, it was time for the Cola Clash! Caitlyn Dillhoff had already invited us, so we were on her team, the Coke Team! (Go Coke!!!) But that didn't stop Josh from trying to recruit us to his team:-) Andrew, Peter, Caitlyn, Autumn, Melody, and I were all on the same team. Josh, James, Thomas, and Timothy were in the Pepsi team. I sort of on purpose left my ankle braces at home, so I couldn't play Spoke tackle. I wasn't too crushed though:-) The Coke team won the second night!!! Next day, we worked on moving Peter and Thomas into the highschool room. We recruited Philip to help us, but Autumn and I weren't sure what to keep or throw away. So we called for reinforcements! Josh, James, Peter, and Thomas came in and helped throw things away, and organize more things. A couple of the boys found the "theme song" for the Cola Clash(and the War too). It got pretty loud in there with at least ten people in the room:-) Also on Friday, Mom and Mrs. Holloway went shopping for decorations. While they were gone, they left us three girls in charge!! This is the point where everybody cheers and yells, PARTY!!!!!!!!. Well, we didn't do that. :-) Promise! (we actually put the little kids down for a nap, listened to Adventures in Odyssey, and made supper instead:-) ) When we came back from Cola Clash, we found a complete wall painted with chalkboard paint! Now, each of the boys has their at least three squares for Mrs. Holloway to write chores, lessons, and other things on it. Edit: my mom wanted me to add that she spent four hours measuring, painting and repainting:-) Second day of Cola Clash. Pepsi won Close Range Bombardment. (at least I think that's its called:-\ ) It's pretty much just dodge ball on steroids But Coke won at Tug of war! The Pepsi team was so light! I was kind of disappointed because I really, really, wanted to get muddy. I would have just jumped in, but you lost team points if you did:-( So, who won the entire week? It was pretty much dependent on the inside game since each team won a game outside. And............COKE WON!!!!!!!! Go Coke!!!!!(I'm just rubbing it it for the poor Pepsi team *ahem*) We had to leave that night:'( Next stop, Cedar Point!!!! Just Kidding:-) Maybe. Carissa Faith:) P.S. No pictures yet. I'll ask Josh:-) Poor blog, so neglected. But never fear, because Carissa is here, ready to rescue it! So, what have we been doing in our absence? Well here is a little trip through our year so far. In January, we didn't really do anything that I can think of. At least nothing that changed my life or anything :) Edit: Wait, yes we did! We went to winter camp at Camp Joy with Grace Baptist Church in Letter in, OH!! That was awesome and we had a lot of fun:) In February, we celebrated my mom's birthday (She turned 40 which was HUGE!, My sister Serenity's 8th birthday, and Valentine's Day! In March, we celebrated my other sister Melody's 15th birthday. We also celebrated Easter Sunday! Also in March, we went to the Columbus Zoo with the Holloways. With their nine, our nine, and an extra girl in the mix, we had quite a crew! While this picture was being taken, someone asked my mom if this was 'Nineteen Kid's and Counting' :) From left to right: Joshua Deleon, Andrew Holloway, Autumn Deleon, James Holloway, Melody Deleon, Peter Holloway, Caitlyn Dillhoff(the extra girl:)), Carissa Deleon, Thomas Holloway, Matthew Holloway, Timothy Deleon, Philip Holloway, Stephen Deleon, John Holloway, Serenity Deleon, Brianna Holloway, Mercy Deleon, Nathaneal Holloway, Charity Deleon. Notice the back and forthness (if that's a word) of the Deleons and Holloways. Well, except for Caitlyn and the people who were out of order anyway. The Deleons kids are older than the Holloway closest in age to them, if that made any sense. :) In April, we celebrated Joshua's birthday early and went to Kings Island with the Holloways. We had an awesome time!!! I went on all the rides that we had time for including the "Diamondback"! I went on that one about 3 times. :) We celebrated Stephen's real birthday in April too. Later, my dad took Joshua up to Camp Joy in Wisconsin where he was interning with Mr. Todd Hatchett in graphic designing. In June, we celebrated Joshua's 18th birthday without him and Father's day. We also had The War! A team from Minute Men Ministries came and helped us recruit as many teens as we could. They had this whole spiel to say. It consisted basically of this: " Have you ever heard of the War? It's an intense three-night competition for teens! We play volleyball with a four-foot by four-foot ball. This is not your normal bump-set-spike, its more like bump-set-splat! It takes three guys to serve this thing, its huge!! We also play basketball with the same four-foot ball. Instead of your normal three-on-three or five-on-five, its more like forty-on-forty or fifty-on-fifty! We play this game called spoke tackle too. It's been nicknamed America's roughest race because in this game, you can body check, take down, clothesline, tackle, trip, push, shove, flag tackle, slide tackle, arm drag, hip toss. Anything goes, you're the boss. If someone's in your way, you can push them down and they're not in your way anymore and you can use their face as a springboard to the finish line! We also play tug-of-war over a thigh-deep mud pit. This thing is the consistency of a Wendy's Frosty, but, trust me, it does not taste anything like it. You can bring your worst enemy, stick them on the other side, and they'll come out looking like a tootsie roll with teeth!" We had a lot of fun! I was on the Navy team with Melody, Caitlyn, and other random people from our church along with the teens from the community. Don't be fooled by this picture of Caitlyn and I. She is a good 3 or 4 inches taller than me at least! :) After the war ended, the Deleons, Caitlyn, and one of the people on the team, Cheyanne, went out for icecream! In July, we went to the annual band and fireworks. And that's our life so far.
More to come!!! Carissa DeLeon We just got back from vacation. I don't want to bombard you with a million pictures, but here's a sample:-) Edit: I will eventually bombard you with pictures, but I'm waiting on my older brother, Joshua, to finish resizing the pics for your own enjoyment. Apparently, they are taking to long to load. But he's very busy recruiting for a Cola Clash at our friends' church. Hopefully, it will happen sometime next week or maybe this week. But it will happen!!!! So, Josh, if you're reading this, you're fine:) Carissa Faith :)
